Main relay and fuel pump test and replacement for Accord or first generation Acura Legend.

The fuel pump is a known common failure on Hondas. The fuel pump is in the under the back seat. On the 90-93 Honda Accord, you will need to remove the back seat cushion. You will find two metal covers but the fuel pump is the one on the driver side, near the gas filler nozzle. Peel out the lid and then remove all the bolts and unplug the fuel hoses. Make sure you replace the two (copper or aluminum) washers. To install, make sure you torque the bolts to 4 lb-ft and the fuel service bolt to 16 lb-ft. To drain the fuel tank due to contaminates that may have caused the pump failure or no start condition, jack up the car and loosen and remove the the drain bolt. Torque the bolt to 36 lb-ft upon install. Note that the test procedure is for the first generation Legend but they will also work for the Accord, including connecting the jumper wire. However the Blk/Yel is Yel for the Accord.
